Meiji Jingu Gaien

Enjoy a quiet day in the heart of Tokyo

Meiji Jingu Gaien (Outer Garden) has wide-open space and some sports facilities including Tokyo’s National Stadium, Jingu Baseball Stadium (the home ground of the Yakult Swallows), and Prince Chihibu Memorial Rugby Ground. Not only can you enjoy playing sports here, but you can also enjoy a fireworks festival in August, and the beautiful yellow tint of ginko trees in autumn.

There are a few nice cafes and a restaurant lining the left side of Ginko Street. Shared Terrace opens at 8 AM and serves delicious French toast. Royal Garden Café is quite popular for their tasty bread and small dishes, and Kihachi is a very famous restaurant known for their carefully selected materials and sophisticated seasonal food.

If you want to spend some quiet time in the heart of Tokyo but still enjoy something a bit luxurious, then Meiji Jingu Gaien is perfect for you!
