Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA
The Shizuoka ECOPA Stadium opened in 2011, is the largest stadium in Shizuoka Prefecture and is located in beautiful parkland between the cities of Fukuroi and Kakegawa. It is the largest facility in Kakegawa Prefecture and has a capacity of 50,000 seats.
The roof construction ensures that the audience does not get wet even when it rains. In addition to a soccer field, the stadium also has an athletics facility.
The venue was one of the Japanese stadiums for the 2002 World Cup. It also hosts athletics competitions and rugby games. The multi-purpose hall Ecopa Arena, which was also inaugurated in 2001 and has 10,000 seats, is located in the area around the station.
