“The shop owned by Marubishi opened in Kamitori recently, and it’s quite interesting,” my hairdresser told me.
I’m heading up north along Kamitori to visit the new spot soon after the hairdresser’s. Turning at the corner of Higo Bank and Ohashi watch shop, I found Whole Square wrapped with a soothing Scandinavian exterior. The shop is under management of Marubishi, a food trading company, and you can find Japanese as well as Western cake ingredients, cooking tools, and food items from overseas, such as wine, ham, cheese as well as local fresh produce.
There is a wine bar in the middle of the shop, you could taste wine together with ham and cheese. The variety of wine is amazing, but they would give you some recommendations if you tell them your favorite type of wine.
