Mount Kuro (Kuro-dake 1,984m) in Daisetsuzan National Park in Hokkaido is one of Japan's famous 100 mountains and a prime spot for autumn colour viewing. The colours usually start to come out in the middle of September. This year, however, as we had a very long and warm summer, the colours kicked in a bit later. I didn't mind, as it was truly spectacular as is!
